1. Checking faucets and other hardware. You don't need to completely renovate your kitchen and master bathroom to make your home more appealing to potential homebuyers. Major renovations can cost thousands of dollars and considering each homebuyer has different taste those major renovations may not be worth it. To make the biggest impact with the highest ROI, switch out your home's old hardware for new hardware. Modern cabinet pulls, door handles, and sink faucets will make it look as if your home was renovated.

2. Change up your backsplash. If your kitchen is looking a little out of fashion, consider sprucing it up with new backsplash. New backsplash tiles are a great way to fake the look of a kitchen remodel without paying for any new cabinetry or appliances. You can also repaint your kitchen to create a sense of separation between your kitchen and dining room if the two are connected.

3. Paint your cabinets. One of the biggest kitchen trends that's expected to make a big impact in 2020 is matching cabinet colors. In 2019, it's been a cabinet color trend to keep the cabinets below a darker color and the cabinets above a lighter color in striking contrast. But in 2020, it's expected that cabinets will match again in bold colors such as navy blue or emerald green. Forego the major kitchen renovation for painting your current cabinets a whole new color. You can give your home's kitchen a brand new look that's on point with the times.
